80/20 in the Community, 80/20 Updates, Pollok Present

Brilliant Breakfast THIS Fri 20th, 9-11.30am

As Pollok 80/20’s Aspiring Communities funded phase draws to a close, we are looking forward to one more Brilliant Breakfast to mark the end of this first phase of amazing events, activities & conversations in the amazing community of Pollok!

Rest assured, there are future plans afoot for Pollok 80/20, and there is already plans to move forward some of the community’s ideas within the next few months, which we are really excited about.

We (Theresa, Chani & Ricker) have had an amazing (if very busy) time getting to know, and hear more about the community, from all of the people we have encountered over this 6 month period. We’ve been very fortunate to have had the opportunity to engage with just over 1000 people in this time!
We’ve enjoyed the enthusiasm and the insight, and been humbled by all the efforts that have gone before us, and paved the way for this important period of reflection about where Pollok has come from, and where it might go in the future. We’ve been extremely lucky to enjoy the benefit of guidance from an excellent steering group – made up of some folk who really know and care about the community!

This Friday will be a bittersweet event for us as it marks the end of this particular Pollok 80/20 team – with Ricker returning to Berlin to continue his studies. We hope you will join us to raise a wee cup of tea to the progress that has been made thus far, and to hear about what we have been learning and hearing over this phase, and how this has informed our recommendations and ideas for future activities in Pollok.

Roll on Phase 2!
